On January 18th, 2009 I had the pleasure of participating in my first SCCA Solo2 event. It was at at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville and sponsored by South Jersey SCCA and Philly SCCA. When everyone showed up at the track the officials were already setting up the cone course. Everyone was wondering how our cars would respond to the cold pavement and also the fact that it had a light coating of snow from the previous night. Luckily the sun came out after the second runs and either melted off the snow or the wind blew it away. Everyone's times continued to improve on each run since the track conditions kept improving throughout the day. It was a blast and I can definitely say that I am hooked on Solo2! The next race is set for February 8th, 2009 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
