StreetWars 5

On April 5th, 2009, the ZTA girls of Stockton College once again pulled together for a worthy cause and Streetwars V was in full swing! There were two cruises from the New Jersey area that descended onto Stockton College to enjoy the drive down, show off their ride, check out everyone's ride, enjoy some camaraderie with fellow tuners, and above all raise money for breast cancer research. I have no clue as to the exact count of cars that came from the northern cruise, but including otec, there was around 30 cars that cruised to Stockton on the southern cruise. The weather for the cruise was perfect, and traffic was light. After the hour and 15 minute cruise was ending at Stockton, we pulled up to the car show, and my jaw dropped! Last years show had about 200 cars total, filling up one of the parking lots. We showed up fairly early and already the original parking lot was filled and was spilling over to one of the 3 adjacent parking lots! This was going to be huge event as after we got our parking spots and started detailing our cars before the judges came around, there was still a line for over 2 hours from cars showing up waiting to compete and show off. At the end of the show it was announced that they had 600 cars compete this year, triple of what they had last year for Streetwars IV. The whole day, the weather, the diversity in people and cars, and knowing that some of my hard earned money is going to help find a cure for cancer instead of on wawa coffee was a great way to kick off the 2009 car show season.
